Find Provincial & National Child Care As a parent, you know more about your child than any other person. By carefully looking into available care and matching up services with your child's individual needs, you will be able to select the best situation for your child. The Universal Child Care Benefit is a new form of direct financial assistance that provides parents with resources to support the child care choices that help them balance work and family as they see fit. The Universal Child Care Benefit will be paid to parents in monthly installments of $100 per month per child under the age of six. If you are already receiving the Canada Child Tax Benefit, you do not need to apply for the Universal Child Care Benefit. You will receive it automatically. If you do not currently receive the Canada Child Tax Benefit, you will need to apply. Application forms for The Universal Child Care Benefit are available on the Canada Revenue Agency website at www.cra-arc.gc.ca. They are also available by calling 1 800 959-2221 or at your local Canada Revenue Agency office or Service Canada Centre.
