ARTS:

The Quinte Arts Council
The QAC is a not-for-profit community arts organization founded on the belief that the arts are for everyone and should be accessible to all. The membership comprises of more than 500 individuals, families and businesses, and more than 80 member groups (the groups jointly represent about 6,000 artists and art supporters). Based in Bellville Ontario, the council founded in 1967 serves the entire Quinte region.

The Quinte Quilters' Guild
Dedicated to supporting its members interests, the guild provides many stimulating workshops, trunk shows and lectures with a variety of teachers and speakers and continues to challenge its members to pursue their quilting passions.

The Belleville Choral Society
Established in 1959, The Belleville Choral Society is a non-denominational community choir presenting several concerts each year, with varied programs of sacred and secular music.

Theatres:

Belleville Theatre Guild
Formed in 1951 and the Guild has provided the Belleville, Quinte and surrounding areas with outstanding theatre over the years.

The Empire Theatre
The building which houses the Empire Theatre originally opened its doors as The McCarthy Theatre in 1938 as a venue for both feature films and live performance.
In the fall of 2002, a highly skilled design and construction team began the task of transforming the McCarthy building into the new 700 seat Empire Theatre and Centre For Performing Arts.

Quinte Symphony
In the early years, the orchestra travelled to different communities in the surrounding area. With a half century of seaons, the Quinte Symphony peforms at the acoustically excellent Bridge Street Church in Belleville.

The Arts Trail
A year-round self-guided tour route, the Arts Trail links together more than 20 of the region's finest studios and galleries. The Trail is a journey of discovery to the studios of painters and sculptors, potters, blacksmiths, glassblowers and jewellery makers, stained- and fused-glass artists and photographers, (including one who still prints by hand), plus eight multi-artist galleries. Travel the Arts Trail at your leisure. It’s a journey — and along the way you’ll find beautiful artworks and a warm welcome.

The Oeno Gallery
The Gallery exhibits contemporary art by artists from this region, other parts of Canada, and occasionally, exceptional international artist

The RCAF Memorial Museum Foundation
Formerly the National Air Force Museum of Canada, the name of the Foundation was modified to the RCAF Memorial Foundation as of 1 March 08.
The Foundation honours the history and traditions of the RCAF by supporting the National Air Force Museum of Canada.

The Taste Trail

Located in a turn of the century Loyalist home on the north side of Highway 2, just east of the Brewer's Retail in Trenton, Ontario and specializes in truly English style fish and chips...seafood, steaks and British fare.
